Hi Sharon,
What a truly lovely post!!! I read it after coming back from going "out" to the local coffee shop with my husband for a latte and muffin. My son, who is now 18, is studying for AP exams, so there isn't a bigger plan for going out. While we were at the coffee shop, a young couple came in with one of today's huge strollers, the stroller equivalent of an SUV, I say, and I remembered pushing our minimal stroller home from our son's daycare, uphill most of the way. Even though I was already 40 at the time, I can remember those days as such happy ones and how young and alive I felt. I was also thinking about how I used to sing to him and how much he liked that singing. It is one of life's great blessings to get to be a mother.

Thanks for the writing prompts. I also agree that for those of us who have children, it can be an opportunity to be more thankful for our mothers than we might have been. I don't know how women who chose not to have children come to the understanding of how completely absorbing it is to be in charge of a newborn.

Thanks again for your post.
